Our First Clinic
On January 26, 2018 Dr. Kiran, Dr. Sheila and Dr. Aruna, with our executive director Varun, traveled 200 kilometres to Namavaram to serve in our first ever health clinic. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. the team registered, assessed, and treated 135 patients! Namavaram locals have limited access to basic health care. This clinic was instrumental in not only assessing the needs of the village but also beginning to treat many preventable diseases and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Mummy’s Village was on the platform at the recent Sing Sankey event. The Sid Williams Theatre, (in Courtenay, BC) rang out as the audience joined in singing the old traditional hymns. Diana Kutyn gave an introduction about Mummy’s Village, and Executive Director, Varun Deepak helped host the evening. Grateful thanks to our community building sponsors. With their help significant financial support was raised towards the tuition cost for our first nursing student.
Tuesday February 14th 2017 This event was a wonderful beginning to Mummy’s Village. It very encouraging to our team as the village of Namavaram showed support and many thanks.
Not only were we encouraged by this event, but the village was excited and hopeful for the future of this site as well. This village not only appreciates the opportunity for growth, but also has expressed a real need for this type of healthcare. This became apparent though meetings with the village elders, and through attendance at our Dedication Service.
